THE ART OF BLEEDING
On and off from 2004-2012, I directed The Art of Bleeding, a Los Angeles-based multi-media performance troupe providing darkly comic faux-educational programs in first-aid and safety. Often staging shows from an old ambulance I’d acquired, The Art of Bleeding’s “paramedical funhouse” was an uncomfortable mix of short original videos and animation, repurposed vintage health-and-safety films, puppets, costumed kiddy show characters, and nurses in fetishistic uniform.
For now the old website is better way to explore what this was all about. Perhaps even better, the YouTube channel.
